The Rhodesian Ridgeback Pioneers is not your usual standard manual but a wonderful insight into the history revealing how the breed was shaped and providing glimpses into the lives of those who developed this magnificent breed.

I loved the "whispers from the past". It is such a pity that the wonderful country we used to call Rhodesia, and the families who were instrumental in the breed, are now all but lost. We must thank Linda Costa for her hours of diligent reading and research and her passion for bringing this lovely book to us, as well as Dr Steph Potgieter and Mike Darwin for their input.

I could not put the book down until it was finished and highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in the breed.

Shady Tree Tyre Bed Manufacturing Facility Co

We cut and provide tyre beds for the exclusive enjoyment of our dogs. They are extremely durable, almost everlasting, and usable in all weather conditions.

Costing R50-00 each they are best bought with an underlying three millimetre thick mattress supplied at the give-away price of R10-00. 

We are currently experiencing difficulty obtaining raw material for our workshop, probably due to recent expansion in the re-grooving trade.

If anyone has access to used tyre carcasses of the ‘fatty‘ type, used on 4 X 4 Bakkies, please let us know.

Goodyear Wrangler 245/75R15 and Nanking Wide Conqueror 31x10.5 R15LT’s have also proved to be successful, but Steelbelts are a definite no-no.

Obviously anything of comparable dimension is suitable.
